Doing whatever it takes to heal little hearts around the globe

  • Gift of Life International and Chain of Hope partnering to heal hearts in Amman, Jordan  •   2023

Spring is a time for rebirth and new beginnings. For Gift of Life International, it’s a time to recommit ourselves to the relentless journey of providing hope to children with heart disease and their families in the developing world. We continue to do whatever it takes to help our next child!

Throughout the month of May, I will be visiting our programs in Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Bolivia and The Philippines. During these visits, we will celebrate the continued empowerment of Jordanian and Bolivian doctors and nurses to care for their own children while supporting the delivery of care to Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese, and Filipino children. Our strategies in each country have been developed to maximize our impact in that country. I invite you to follow my travels and the efforts of our global network by following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, and reading our blog on giftoflifeinternational.org.

In many regions of the world, May is the month when we recognize the importance of Mothers in the lives of their families and society. We can think of no greater way to honor moms around the world than to provide their children with the lifesaving surgeries to which they have the right. Much of our social media activity this month will share stories of mothers whose prayers we have answered.

So, as we embrace the new beginnings brought by this time of year, let us direct our combined efforts to healing the hearts of children in need. Our global network is the largest humanitarian organization in the world which provides care to these children. Every 2 hours and 18 minutes we are giving a child a new beginning to their life. We are answering the prayers of their mom, dad and the entire family. Thank you for standing with us as we stand up and show up for the children waiting for our help!

With great thanks,

Rob Raylman
